What was your first theatre experience ?
1983 in Stockholm “Mahagonny”, my mother appeared in it

What was your first experience with Musical Theatre?
I saw “Les Misérables” in London in 1987

What was the last time you saw a musical?
In May 2003, “Titanic” in Hamburg

In all those years, which musical production impressed you the most?
The 1987 performance of “Les Misérables” in London, it was simply a very good production

Who is your favourite Musical Composer and which is your favourite musical?
Schönberg / Boublil and “Les Misérables” as well as Leonard Bernstein and “West Side Story”

Which musical cast recording do you listen to the most at the moment?
“Notre Dame de Paris” in French

Do you have an idol for your profession?
In singing Anthony Warlow, Tommy Körberg and Steve Balsamo

What thrills you about your profession?
It's the creativity that is developing and which is demanded daily. Beside that, many great meetings with good colleagues

What disturbs you in your profession?
A lot of travelling and moving along with continuous farewells with friends and colleaugues

What was, so far, your biggest professional success?
Being in the original German cast of “Elisabeth” in Essen

What was, so far, you biggest professional flop?
Fortunately there hasn't been a real flop so far

What would be the biggest professional challenge for you?
To compose and to write a musical of my own

What other profession would have been attractive to you?
Music producer or chef, both are creative professions as well.

Tell me 3 things you cannot miss?
Friends ( including my family ), love and fun

Pretend you are winning millions of dollars, what would you use it for?
I guess first of all I'd be gone on a long vacation. And I'd donate a big part of it for charity.

What do you enjoy?
Getting together with my best friends I've known for ages...that happens far too rarely.

What makes you confident?
Personally, the big appreciation I could encounter for my artistic work, and in general that even in our days that there is still a certain perpective for everyone.

What are you afraid of?
War and the growing destruction of our environment

Whom would you like to spend an evening with?
Penelope Cruz – no further comment

Is there anybody youdd like to tell what you think?
Osama bin Laden, I'd like to know why he makes humanity suffer

Who impresses you in the musical business by success and creativity?
Uwe Kröger impresses me by the strength and energy he shows in each of his roles and which makes him that successful. Drew Sarich is highly creative. He has a brilliant voice which is opening a new dimension in the world of musical theatre.
